Stephanie Hutchinson, Accompanist

Dr. Stephanie Hutchinson graduated magna cum laude from USC where she earned her BM, MM and DMA degrees in Piano Performance. She served as Principal Accompanist for the Los Angeles Children’s Chorus and toured with LACC’s Concert Choir throughout the United States, Europe, Canada and Australia. She also served on staff at USC, Pepperdine, Glendale College and Santa Monica College accompanying and teaching piano and voice. She currently teaches piano and voice and coaches singers. Stephanie has accompanied The Concert Singers almost continuously since 1993, playing under the batons of Colleen Cronin, David Simmons, Julia Tai, Jenni Brandon and Phil Theodorou. The Concert Singers performed the world premiere of her Christmas carol, WHILE TENDING SHEEP THAT COLD, CLEAR NIGHT, on their December 2013 concert. Soloists from The Concert Singers also performed her two mini-musicals, MORE PRECIOUS THAN DIAMONDS: The Musical and MUSEUM TOUR: The Musical, in concert-style. The three songs from MORE PRECIOUS THAN DIAMONDS: The Musical charted #s1, 2 & 3 on both CD Baby’s Show Tunes and CD Baby’s Musicals/Broadway. The album charted as Top Album on CD Baby’s Show Tunes. MUSEUM TOUR: The Musical attracted hundreds of international fans on internet radio, especially teenagers in Asia and the Middle East.
